Lawyers advise clients on various legal issues, draft legal documents, represent clients in administrative boards or tribunals, act as defenders or prosecutors in court or instruct senior lawyers to refer cases to higher courts.Tasks performed:(a) advising clients on various legal issues and solving legal problems on behalf of the client;(b) the study of legal principles, provisions and previous court decisions relating to specific cases;(c) gathering evidence to determine defense tactics or to file a lawsuit by means such as interviewing customers and witnesses to confirm the facts of the case;(d) evaluating outcomes and developing strategies and formulating arguments in preparation for trial;(e) defending a client in courts, tribunals and administrative boards or instructing senior counsel to refer a case to a higher court;(f) taking briefs and presenting cases to the superior court;(g) performance of prosecutorial functions on behalf of the State;(h) resolution of legal disputes;(i) preparation of draft legislation and government regulatory documents based on existing laws;(j) drafting legal documents such as contracts, real estate transactions and wills, as well as drafting legal opinions.
