Other foundrymen and mould makers not included in the 7211 „Metal casters and mold makters“ subgroup. Foundrymen and mould makers produce metal casting molds and cores. They perform the production of metal casting molds manually or using auxiliary devices, small casting molds at the workbench, larger ones in foundries or casting pits.

Main activities

* create and produce metal casting molds for metal casting by machine or manually;
* with manual shaping tools, bend and shape metal blanks and sheets;
* use sand, clay, or other special materials for mold production;
* examine drawings and descriptions of the technical conditions of the object being produced;
* cast templates of non-ferrous metals, which will be used for high-quality castings.

Characteristic competences

* use sharpeners, flatting, bending, chamfering machines and devices;
* may cast certain types of parts and work according to specialization;
