721105 - Forming billet preparer

Preparation of casting blanks, working with equipment located in the shop. Produces cores for metal casting molds, used to fill places in the casting that should remain unfilled during casting. They use wood, plastic or other materials to create a core suitable for withstanding a special metal casting environment.

Main activities

* analyse product examples, conduct tests, insert templates into casting mold parts and couple those parts;
* create and produce metal casting molds for metal casting by machine or manually;
* with manual shaping tools, bend and shape metal blanks and sheets;
* examine drawings and descriptions of the technical conditions of the object being produced;
* cast templates of non-ferrous metals, which will be used for high-quality castings.
