712202 - Parquet layer

Lays and repairs parquet floors. Measures the floor area, prepares the floor base for laying the parquet. According to the intended drawing, lays wooden boards on the prepared floor base, levels and sands the parquet surface. Replaces worn parts with new boards.

Main activities

* level the base, prepare for parquet laying, select suitable materials;
* according to the intended drawing, or chosen pattern, the parquet is laid, sanded, and covered with chosen materials;
* form a gap between the parquet and the wall, lay wedges, apply weights to level the parquet;
* lay two-layer parquet;
* handle, restore damaged parquet, renew it.
