Carries out state control of environmental protection and use of natural resources. Ensures compliance with state-established environmental protection rules and laws by enterprises and organizations, monitors and controls environmental quality, and takes necessary measures to ensure people's health and safety.

Main activities

* check the compliance of enterprises and organizations with environmental protection requirements related to waste and pollutant emissions;
* monitor and control water and air quality, control the amount of pollutants in factories and enterprises;
* respond to complaints and report of environmental protection violations and take necessary actions to resolve them;
* prepare reports and recommendation on compliance with environmental protection requirements;
* participate in the development of environmental protection legislation and policy.
