Performs technical tasks related to the design, construction, operation and technical maintenance of water transport vehicles and their propulsion and onboard systems.

Main activities

* design water transport vehicles and their systems according to the provided technical conditions description, use standard mechanical, electronic and other elements;
* organize tests, maintenance and repair of devices and systems, identify and eliminate malfunctions;
* collect data, systematize and process them and manage technological and production processes, use specialized and universal computer programs;
* apply professional knowledge and practical skills of marine engineering, solve production and economic activity problems;
* improve the safety standards and procedures of ship hulls, equipment and cargo, perform topographic marine work.
