Performs technical tasks related to geological exploration or geological survey. Describes drilling cores, takes samples to determine composition, systematizes research results, helps determine land value for oil or gas exploration purposes. Performs various technical activities, conducts geophysical and geological research, and other auxiliary tasks.

Main activities

* collect material or product samples for laboratory tests;
* take and prepare samples for inspection, check their representativeness, avoid bias and any chance or deliberate contamination, indicate, mark, and register the sample data, ensure compatibility of results with the original material;
* collect geological data, compile geological maps, perform geochemical and geophysical technical measurements;
* record data, check whether specific results are obtained according to test results;
* prepare and timely complete shift schedules and production reports.
