Performs scientific research, analyzes and evaluates procedures or problems, client requirements for information systems, as well as prepares and implements proposals, recommendations, and plans to improve existing or future information systems. Uses specialized computer systems, engineering tools, and geological concepts to create detailed digital maps and resources for geological models. Digitizes and analyzes technical information for use by engineers, governments, and stakeholders.
Main activities
* create maps, format collected data into a virtual image for representation of a specific area;
* create color and symbolic maps, prepare thematic maps based on geospatial information, using software programs and various methods;
* analyze data using statistical analysis models and methods, as well as information and communication technologies, revealing relationships and predicting trends;
* apply mathematical methods and use computing technologies to analyze and solve specific problems;
* work with computer data systems, geographic information systems (GIS).
