Judges preside over civil and criminal proceedings.Tasks performed:(a) presiding over the trial and presiding over the hearing;(b) interpreting and applying the rules of procedure, as well as making decisions about the admissibility of evidence;(c) determining the respective rights and obligations of the parties, including in cases tried by jury;(d) instructions to the jury on the law applicable to the case;(e) the evaluation and consideration of evidence in cases not tried by a jury and the finding of guilt or innocence of the accused or defendant or the determination of the extent of his liability;(f) entering judgment, determining damages or other civil remedies against persons accused in criminal proceedings, and providing a court order;(g) investigating and providing opinions on legal issues.
