Main activities

* determines the shape, size, weight, mass and lifting methods of cargoes;
* selects necessary loading and unloading tools, cargo securing devices, and other tools suitable for cargo transport needs;
* assesses cargo stability and safe loading and transportation;
* secures cargoes and helps manage transport equipment such as lifts, cranes, etc.;
* prepares and fills out cargo transport documents.

Characteristic competences

* use hand and power tools;
* select which loading tool is suitable for each load;
* calculate the weight of the loads taking into account the power of the lifting equipment;
* detach or attach the lifting equipment;
* use lashing schemes;
* correctly transmit signals in sign language.
