Works with specialized wood processing equipment. controls and supervises sawmill devices, which are used to cut logs of unprocessed sawn wood, peel bark, manufacture plywood.

Main activities

* check if the wood processing equipment is properly adjusted according to the required thickness and length of wood products;
* prepare unprocessed wood for processing, remove unsuitable parts of wood for processing;
* control and supervises sawmill devices, which are used to cut logs of unprocessed sawn wood, peel bark, manufacture plywood, chipboard or otherwise process wood;
* perform minor repairs, sharpen saws;
* take care of the maintenance and technical service of wood processing equipment.

Characteristic competences

• work with wood processing equipment, repair it;
• measure and calculate the sizes and angles of the wood to be prepared;
• use various wood processing devices;
• prepare logs for primary processing;
• comply with work safety rules.
