Provides emergency care to sick and vulnerable people in emergency situations. Implements and oversees patient transfer as it relates to patient transport. Assists in the event of major disasters, implements rescue measures in emergency situations and monitors the results of the transportation process.

Main activities

• assesses the health condition of persons in critical situations and the need to provide specialized medical services; 
• performs medical procedures and prescribes drugs according to the emergency medical aid protocol;
• monitors changes in the health status of patients transported to medical institutions; 
• provides information and training to public groups and essential first aid services to workers in the initial stages of illness or injury; 
• attends or is on duty at mass gatherings and other events where there is a greater likelihood of the need for emergency medical care.
