Reads the dimensions and specifications provided on the order sheet. Based on the known dimensions, makes a model of a limb or deformed part of the body from plastic. Makes drawings of model parts from metal, wood, plastic, cork, or leather, cuts out shapes, uses manual tools or milling and grinding machines. Produces orthopedic products, based on medical, technical, and aesthetic requirements.

Main activities

* perform a medical examination and analysis, manufacture an individually tailored prosthesis or orthosis;
* prepare the necessary materials and equipment and use according to established requirements;
* manufacture orthopedic products manually or by computer, comply with material, tool, and technology requirements;
* fit the products to the individual dimensions and needs of the patient's body;
* maintain and repair orthopedic products.
