Performs perfusion in all clinical situations where it is necessary to temporarily take over or maintain the patient's circulation and respiratory functions. Prepares for work and controls the artificial blood circulation device and other auxiliary blood circulation systems and ensures their proper functioning. Is responsible for supplying the body with blood and oxygen when operations requiring the heart and vascular system are performed.
Main activities
* monitor the patient's blood and oxygen level during surgery;
* ensure a proper circulatory system during surgery;
* compensate for blood loss during surgery;
* collect and process blood that will be transfused to the patient;
* inject drugs into the bloodstream as directed by the doctor.
