The waking mechanic is a maritime transport mechanic who performs maintenance and repair work on ship engines, electrical and electronic equipment, water supply systems. Ensures the operation of main engines, steering mechanism, electricity generation and other major subsystems. Performs technical operations.


Main activities

* perform maintenance and repair on ship engines and other mechanical equipment;
* change and adjust electrical and electronic systems, navigation and communication equipment;
* detect and repair faults in the ship's water supply and cooling system;
* ensure that maritime transport vehicles and equipment are always ready and operate smoothly, stock up on spare parts;
* prepare reports and maintenance and repair procedure documents.
