Within the limits of powers granted by the state, on behalf of the state, administers justice, guides the court and case examination processes, and makes decisions in cases.

Main activities

* examine civil, administrative and criminal cases;
* lead the course of court sessions, announce court decisions, verdicts, resolutions or rulings and ensure order during court sessions;
* administer cases related to the execution of decisions and sentences;
* in cases provided by law, perform the functions of a pre-trial investigation judge, enforcement judge;
* analyze legal acts, court practices and legal literature and apply knowledge in deciding specific cases;
* perform other functions assigned by law.
