Provides the education of students, most often children and young people, in secondary schools. As a rule, they specialize and teach in their field of study. They draw up lesson plans and materials, monitor students' progress, help individually if necessary, and evaluate students' knowledge and results with the help of tasks, tests and exams.

Main activities

• chooses teaching and learning strategies, relies on students' individual learning needs and goals
• communicates with school staff, teachers, teacher assistants, academic advisers and the principal, on issues related to the well-being of students
• draws up a curriculum plan and calculates the duration of the curriculum, relies on school regulations and curriculum goals
• provides additional exercises and tasks that students must prepare at home, explains them accurately, sets the deadline for completion and the method of assessment
• applies various methods, ways of learning, uses various teaching tools and methodologies that correspond to the content of the activity, the level of students, goals and priorities
